Our Drop-in Smart DIY post top elbows make it super easy and safe to assemble the headers. Unlike closed tube elbows which require extreme effort and heavy lifting equipment, our Drop-in Smart DIY design requires minimal physical effort and eliminates physical injury risks.

The design incorporates rafters, lattice frame, and polycarbonate panels as rain proofing, UV shield, and sunlight transmittance. Metal Panels can replace the polycarbonate panels, if desired.

This design is especially useful for decks and patios which are too hot in the summer with no shade.
This design adds the UV shielding polycarbonate panels to provide shade and rain proofing. The UV shielding capability and double pane design reduces solar heat transfer into living area while letting visible light through.

This design can also be built on ground level as a Perfect Patio Covering with ultimate styling and unlimited lifetime.

Build this as a poolside bar and grill island, backyard pergola, or garden pergola.
For rain proofing and 100% UV shielding, we recommend the double pane 10mm polycarbonate panels available through www.Duralightplastics.com or other source.

This bracket kit is designed to use 4x4 dimensional posts and headers.
Universal Size: Any size structure between 8ft. and 14 ft wide. can be created. Beyond 8 feet width, you must use 2x8 or 2x10 sandwich headers instead of using 4x4 headers.
